2004 Chevy Avalanche 4x4 Z-71 off road package. Heated leather. Arizona truck. 221,853 miles with 80% of them being highway if that even matters anymore. It has the famous 5.3 Vortec. Keep your gear clean and dry this winter with the lockable bed covers. I bought this 2 years ago from the very meticulous original owner in Phoenix where it spent its entire life so there is no body rust. It has had any maintenance issue that came up immediately addressed. It is far from perfect but it's a nice clean, solid, and tight truck. I would trust to drive it anywhere in the Country at a moments notice. It has never been beat down or involved in any silly accidents or anything of the sort. There are a few rips in the leather that can be professionally repaired for 2-300 dollars and there is a dent in the rear bumper that happened years ago. There is about 75% left on some nice Toyo A/T tires. Again, this rig is far from perfect but somebody is going to get lucky and get a nice solid 4x4 for dirt cheap. This is my personal Avalanche. Mechanically it is one fast truck. I replaced the engine and transmission with a slight performance version. Engine is an avalanche 5.3 with approximately 150k. The transmission has 48000 miles and runs like it. Strong shifts. I like speed. This is one of the fastest almost factory Avalanches. It has competition long tube headers; and a handheld power programmer and programming. Which has options of, power, towing, gas saver and one more option. So far, no Hemi pickup has been faster. None that have tried to be faster. Great sounding engine. Have a ground effects kit for it. Not installed. If speed and power are in your menu; this one you will want. Photos to be posted as soon as I get her cleaned up. I call it a Hemi Slayer and Hemi's can't hang. However today crusing, I got a serious surprise. One of the ugliest Mercedes trucks decided to drive over my Heavy Chevy. Well wasn't quite so easy. Granted it was fast. All I could see was G65? Like what the heck is that? HOw about 621 hp V-12 Twin Turbos!!!. I just looked the thing up. Over 200 thousand. No way the Avie was going toe to toe with that beast. However he got a serious shock, Stock, well nearly stock 5.3 spanked him at a certain rpm range. I have a video. Not sure I will post it. I am taking 5500 or however close I can get to that number no later than Sunday. Leaving the country in a few days. What needs work?1. crack windshield2. Front a/b radiator sensor needs replacing.3. Stabilizer needs resetting..probably a body code scanner needed.4. 2 o2 sensors act up every so often The good...It's fast. I have seen some impressive numbers. 2008 Chevy Avalanche 4X4 in great condition, New rotors and brake pads all the way around, General Grabber UHP tires with less than 1k miles on them, Husky all-weather mats, interior in great condition, wheels free of road rash, bed is in great shape and not faded like many. I drive it about 70 miles a week so the mileage will increase slowly. This truck is in great condition but it is not mint.
